In 2003, Aerie 1771 celebrated its 95th birthday with a party that lasted three days.  The celebration hosted national and state officers, a Zone Meeting and a Spring Conference Dinner.  In attendance were the Grand Aerie Vice President, Indiana's State President, and regional officers and secretaries from many state Aeries.

In the spring of 2008, we celebrated an even bigger milestone: the Centennial Anniversary of the Eagles in Alexandria.  We are proud to be the largest fraternal organization in Alexandria.  More than just a social organization, we have a long history of helping worthy projects including the Grand Aerie's Jimmy Durante Fund, the Madison County Special Olympics, the Alexandria Fire Department, the former Alexandria Police Department K-9 program, the Art Earmann Cancer Fund, the D.D. Dunlap Kidney Fund, Max Baer Heart Fund, Robert H. Hansen Diabetes Fund, and funds for the Alexandria Fire Department "Advanced Life Support" program.

The Aerie is housed in the former home of Skateland Roller Palace at 217 E. Cleveland Street.  This location is our fourth and became the Aerie's home in Alexandria in 1992.  Our building is a full city block long and about half as wide.  We have seating for large groups in the social room, a large bingo room, a meeting room, recreation area, and lounge area.  In addition, we have kitchen facilities, offices and storage areas and parking along the west side of the building for more than 100 cars.

It takes a big building to house our Aerie.  We are the fourth largest in the state with more than 2300 men and women members!

Display cases in the social room display pins, photographs and other memorabilia from our long history of service to the community.  We invite you to browse the cases and hope you'll share our appreciation of the history of Aerie 1771.

Donations of memorabillia from our past are always welcome!
